Who we are

Te Hanga South Lands Trust was formed in 1981 and is legally consituted under the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, to control and manage the land and assets of its registered shareholders.Situated on the borders of Ngāti Raukawa and Te Arawa, the Trust’s lands total 327.462ha and are comprised of four separate blocks: Te Hanga A8, Te Hanga A9, Te Hanga A10 and Sec 71 Block XII Tapapa SD.Governance is provided by five elected responsible trustees and one advisory trustee.

Are you an Owner?

Information can be viewed via the Maori Land Online website which provides a snapshot of current ownership, trustee, memorial and block information for land that falls within the jurisdiction of the Māori Land Court under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 and other legislation – this is primarily Māori Customary and Māori Freehold Land, but also includes, General Land Owned by Māori, Crown Land Reserved for Māori and some treaty settlement reserves, mahingā kai and fishing rights areas.
