Whānau, Heritage, and Community Commitment
My journey is deeply rooted in my whānau, our whenua, and the strong tradition of service and stewardship passed down through generations. I am committed to upholding the wellbeing, legacy, and mana of our whenua, ensuring its ongoing prosperity for the benefit of all our whānau and future generations.
I bring strong skills in modern software and technology, and am always open to adding another tool to my kete, learning new skills and approaches that support better outcomes.
Building and nurturing strong relationships—both within our community and with key organisations—is fundamental to my approach. I place great value on collaboration that is grounded in respect, trust, and shared purpose. Guided by diligence, aroha, and a long-standing dedication to kaitiakitanga, I look forward to continuing this mahi with integrity and purpose as a trustee of Te Hanga South Lands Trust.

Paki semmens
Trustee
My name is Paki Semmens, I was born and educated at Matamata, my parents are Jack and Awhea Aoake, I have been a Trustee of the Te Hanga South Lands Trust since 2012, and have enjoyed learning about our whenua, and how to keep it viable for the future of all our whanau , especially our mokopuna. With the help of all your Trustees, I have grown with confidence and I am able to provide a different perspective and am absolutely enjoying the challenge.
I am a current Trustee on Paiakamangaotua No 3 block situated in Tapapa, which runs into Te Hanga South block, although much smaller, the kaupapa remains the same, that is to look after the whenua for everyone.
I have a grown family myself and hopefully my children will step up and learn as I have.
I hope I can serve our whanau to the best of my ability and I look forward to the future and all its challenges.
